“I am much pleased with Camp Cody.” said Capt. J. A. Walker, traveling orthopedic officer, who has just inspected that branch of the service very ably conducted at the old base hospital by Capt. Truehart, Lieutenant Applewhite, Lieutenant Reich and their assistants, to Trench and Camp, the other evening.
“Your camp is well laid out and very sanitary and well kept,” continued Capt. Walker. “Capt. Truehart and his able assistant are doing fine work in the orthopedic branch, (arms, legs and spine) at the old base hospital, and Capt. Stanley Etseman is getting the reclamation work exceedingly will in hand.
“When this war is over America will have been taught a great lesson in how to live and save. It is an expensive lesson but will be worth the price. – Camp Cody, Trench and Camp Newspaper – July 25, 1918
